PDI799 Man-Machine Interface Instruction Man-machine interface of PDI799 electric drive system uses SIMENS MP370 touch screen. It will enter the ‘Main Control Interface’ automatically when the power supply is normal.
We can enter the selective interface according to the requirement (MAIN PARAMETER INTERFACE, DRAWWORKS AND ROTARY TABLE INTERFACE, AUTOMATIC BIT FEED INTERFACE, and PREVENT HURTLE INTERFACE of IDLE CAR). There is also a LANGUAGE CHANGE button on the main interface, and we can choose language ‘Chinese/English’ according to the requirement. 1. Function of Main interface On the main interface, it shows the chiefly parameter and status of drilling, status and main parameter of the transducer cubicle and motor.
In this page it shows the main parameters. The detailed parameters can be showed by pressing the corresponding buttons. To conveniently operate the functions of main parameter interfaces, the buttons on the main interface are also effective (‘First Hovering Weight Test Button’). Fault indicator lamp or alarm lamp will turn to red when there is fault or alarming. At the moment, click the red fault or alarm lamp, the screen of fault diagnose will be displayed. Then basic fault and alarm can be seen on the screen. 2. Prevent Hurtle Interface In the interface of preventing hurtle, firstly, the total height of the idle car must be set accurately. The total height of the idle car is the benchmark for calculating the present height of idle car. If the total height of the idle car is not accurate, the different value of calculating will be increased.
(1) Measure and Set the Total Height of the Idle Car When setting the total height of the idle car, firstly, drop the idle car to the surface of driller console(rock button), then press the ‘0 Meter Adjust Button’(the button changes to green and shows ‘0 Meter Adjust Start’), 5 seconds later, press the button again to make it restore (the button shows ‘0 Meter adjust over’). Lift the idle car to the highest position (before mechanic prevent hurtle), press the ‘the Highest Position Adjust’ button (at this moment the button changes to green and shows ‘the Highest Position Adjust Start’), 5 seconds later, press the button again to make it restore (the button shows ‘the Highest Position Adjust Over’). Now measure the distance between the surface of drillers console and the highest position, and the distance is the total height of the idle car. (2) The height setting of down speed lowing and down type-band brake When the height setting of down speed lowing is operated, firstly, drop the idle car to a normal position, at this moment, decrease the height of idle car by scores of centimeters and set it as the down speed lowing point. Lift and drop the idle car repeatedly for testing, rectify the value to a proper one according to the actual status. According to the inertial of dropping the idle car (the dropping distance of idle car after the DW throttle is back to zero), set the height of down type-band brake lowing to a proper value which is done after the height setting of the speed lowing is finished.
(3) The height setting of up speed lowing and up type-band brake The method to have a height setting of up speed lowing and up type-band brake is the same with that to have a height setting of down speed lowing and down type-band brake. First set the height of up speed lowing, then set the height of up type-band brake. When the preventing hurtle parameter of the idle car is done, press down the ‘Preventing Hurtle System’ button and keep it at the open state. Attention: the preventing hurtle system must be open when the preventing hurtle test of the idle car is set (the button indicates ‘the Preventing Hurtle System Starts’). In a case of emergence, the preventing hurtle system of idle car works. The system does not work during a normal lifting and drooping idle car. And this function can not be used to stop a DW. If the height of lifting or dropping the idle car is more than that of preventing hurtle, then the preventing hurtle system can be closed temporarily. The preventing hurtle must be tested and set when the derrick is erected by the idle car.
3. Automatic Bit Feed Setting Automatic bit feed setting must be done when there is a bit feed at constant pressure. Firstly, lift the drilling tool off the well bottom and press down the ‘First Hovering Weight Meterage Over’ button, 5 seconds later when the ‘Hovering Weight’ indicates ‘First Hovering Weight Meterage Begins’, just repress the button to ‘First Hovering Weight Meterage Over’ position. Secondly, set the weight on bit according to the actual working status.
The running status and the running parameter of the automatic bit feed motor are shown on this page. 4. DW and RT On this page, the main running parameters of the DW and RT are displayed. A ‘DW High or Low Speed’ button is on the page. The highest speed of DW can be selected by pressing this button. When the DW needs running at a high speed, just press down the button which shows ‘DW HIGH SPEED’, otherwise ‘DW LOW SPEED’ will be shown.
5. Diagnose the Trouble On the page of the ‘Fault Diagnose’ the main trouble of the system is displayed, so operators may find the trouble in time and notify the electric engineers to repair the system. 6. Attention： (1) When operation or setting is done on the touch screen, just touch the screen with fingertip. Don’t touch the screen with pointed or harden object. Don’t touch it by over strength or with a dirty glove. (2) Touch screen is an electric device which demands a good external environment. Therefore, attention should be paid to prevent oil, stain and water from splashing onto the screen. And device damage should be avoided.
